This is a standard chord progression in the key of
"A" going through the A-D-E or 1-4-5...


First Position (A)              Second Position (D)          Third position (E)











Practice this progression in all keys all the way up the neck...


Starting at the 1st position in "A".


Move all notes 1 whole step (2 frets). Now your have the B-E-F#


Move all notes 1 Half Step (1 fret). Now you have the C-F-G


Move all notes 1 Whole Step (2 frets). Now you have the D-G-A


Move all notes 1 Whole Step (2 frets). Now you have the E-A-B


Move all notes 1 Half Step (1 fret). Now you have the F-Bb-C


Move all notes 1 Whole Step (2 frets). Now you have the G-C-D


Work with the Backing Tracks to get the feel of these positions and your
life will be SO MUCH easier playing rhythm and especially Leads & Solos!
